2011 MLB All Star Game
Phoenix is hot in the summer. No s**t. However, 72 degrees inside makes it nice. I wish the American League had won but Robinson Cano won the HR Contest and I got see the game with my son. A good day.

The field is ready for the Notre Dame-Army football game on Nov. 20.
I’m disappointed that we didn’t win but here are some positives. My good friend Rico is a big Giants fan. He calls me Yankee Joe and I call him Giant Rico. He’s a new dad and his legal status is secure. My other good friend Jerrod is also a Giants fan. Here’s to you boys.
And finally, as I get older I look for different ways to extract meaning and joy from everyday occurrences. The fact that W looks miserable in this picture just makes me happy.
Being the truthful person that I am, I had a really bad feeling about this team. We didn’t deserve to win. Period. Now I’ll root for the Giants because I don’t want George W to feel good about anything. Petty? Sure but I don’t give a shit. How many days to Spring Training?

my sentiments exactly!!!! xoox
Who the fuck starts an inning in relief with a slider when your best pitch is a 95+ MPH fastball? Joba The Hutt, that’s who! So of course he hung it and Cruz hit it a mile to tie the game. Fucking idiot.
After two straight losses, which are in reality not a big deal, I’ve decided to just do the occasional snarky post or commentary.
Daily game blogging is tough! I have much respect for those who do it professionally.
It was a pleasure reading joey d… All my love <3 kalani
6-1 on the current home stand. I’ll take it with the O’s coming in for three.

Until the seventh inning, Blue Jays reliever Jason Frasor had not allowed a home run to a right-handed hitter this season. That ended when Marcus Thames went deep, a two-run shot that was his 11th of the year and gave the Yankees a 7-5 win at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees have now won eight in a row, a season-high, and Thames has homered in seven of his past eight starts. The Yankees late-inning relievers were once again dominant, making up for a shaky start from Javier Vazquez and a game-tying hit off Dustin Moseley.

The Yankees have matched the longest winning streak of the season, taking their seventh in a row with a 7-3 win against the Blue Jays this afternoon. Ivan Nova was pulled after just 4.2 innings, but he pitched pretty well and would have gotten the win had he gotten one more out. Instead, Kerry Wood will be given the decision. Without Derek Jeter or Nick Swisher in the lineup, Brett Gardner and Curtis Granderson hit first and second and combined for four RBI and four runs. At the bottom of the lineup, Ramiro Pena and Eduardo Nunez each had two hits.
Here’s the game summary from Sam Borden and ours friend at LoHud.
On a hot, steamy day in the Bronx, CC Sabathia was dominant (again) and the Yankees beat the A’s (again) to finish off a four-game series sweep.
Sabathia, who allowed just one hit over eight shutout innings, is now only one win away from the first 20-win season of his career. Curtis Granderson hit two homers (after coming off the bench to replace Nick Swisher) and Jorge Posada added a shot of his own to push the Yankees to the 5-0 victory.
