    Yankees 6 The Ozzie’s 4

Well, what do you know.  Robbie only goes 1 for 4 but the Yanks win anyway because of the Captain. A single to start the game, a 2 run HR to tie it and a 2 run triple for the winning margin.  Not bad Captain!  Mo had his 7th save in 7 games and the bullpen goes 3 scoreless inning with Aceves getting the win.

Andy showed why he’s such a big game pitcher.  The two cheap hits and home run by Konerko put the Yanks in an early 3-0 hole but Andy made it through the sixth and gave the Yankees a chance to win.  Always a chance with Derek.

    Yankees 4 Orioles 0

Back to winning series, son! AJ pitched 8 shutout innings but between Cano’s sick defensive play and his two home runs and double, it’s the Robbie Cano show, don’t you know?!?  He’s batting .407 with 8 home runs.  Sick.

Robbie came within 10 feet of having 3 HRs. He is unreal! We aren’t even firing on all cylinders yet.

    Yankees 8 Orioles 3

This game is more like it. Six players had at least 2 hits with Cano hitting his team leading sixth home run. He’s batting .390 with a .432 OBP. CC gave us length and Cervelli came in for Georgie and went 2 for 4. You can tell Posada wasn’t happy getting hit in the knee and he looks to be day to day. Nice bounce back game boys.

    Not Sharp = Another Loss

    Associated Press Photo

Not a good night and this makes it three losses out of the last five games. A rough patch was going to happen but did it have to be against the Orioles?  On the plus side Robbie is unconscious with 3 more hits tonight.

CC and AJ the next two should get us the series win. Damn it! I hate losses.

    Javier Vazquez = Ed Whitson

    Associated Press Photo

I’ve been the one to say that Vazquez would be different this season. Shit!!!! He’s channeling Ed Whitson! This was a winnable game being up 3-0. Then that screw up pitching to Kendry Morales instead of just walking him. Damn it!

I was out of town today and didn’t watch the game.  Suffice it to say it was Andy’s day.  Check out LoHud for a good wrap up.

I never want to give him too much credit because, over the years, he seems to let me down right when I buy in again, but Andy looked/looks great. He has a shut down feel to him. Tex and A-rod are not even hitting yet and we still continue to win. Cano is unreal, but a line-up with Cervelli, Gardner and Pena still managed to dominate. Swisher got away with a dumb-ass (his call) bunt, but the boys picked him up. We need to sweep these scumbags today!

    Frustration…. Thy Name Is Joba

Don’t have much to say because I was actually at a D’Backs game to boo the Phillies, especially Jimmy “Douche” Rollins (who ended up not playing). After Swish ties the game 4-4, freakin’ Joba gives up a single to Godzilla and then a home run to Morales and we lose 6-4. I really hate losing, especially to teams with red uniforms. Damn it!

    I’m Spoiled. I Want A Win Everyday!

The only highlight of this game was the 5-4-3 triple play started by Alex. CC wasn’t sharp even though he pitched a complete game. That grooved fastball to Suzuki after difficulty finding the strike zone was the difference. Still a series win but I’m greedy. I wanted a sweep. Damn it!

    Yankees 3 A’s 1

Phil Hughes was fantastic!  He struck out a career high 10, walked 2 and just that one hard hit infield single back to the box by Eric Chavez.  It was hit so hard that it ricocheted off his glove and by the time he found it, Chavez was safe.  Damn it!

Brett Gardner’s single in the ninth gave a little breathing room for Mo who struggled a bit to gain his 6th save. This is five straight series wins and Oakland gets CC tomorrow night.  Yanks are rolling…. Deal with it!

I don’t want to go “mush” on this party, but I think we might win 120 games. The walk to the championship this year might be easier than ’98. Sure, we may lose one game to Halladay in the Series, but that’s it. Barring 3 (that’s 3) major (that’s major) injuries, I don’t see how this won’t be the case, even in my half-empty world.
